commentary:

[beginning - 0;19] I wanted to give the idea of House being restless and perhaps on the brink of doing something self-destructive, with the fast cuts and different angles. The greenish tinge is supposed to give the idea of unease.

[0;20] Focusing on Wilson's face and House walking out on him, how Wilson doesn't stop House from walking all over him, or 'violating' him.

[0;25] The way House is just sitting there, carelessly smoking and blowing smoke in Wilson's face - giving the idea that at times he doesn't give a shit about the way he treats Wilson.

[0;31] I really like this bit. The fast cuts between their eyes and lips, giving this idea of being intimate with each other.

[0;41] "I broke apart my insides" and House noticing blood from his gun shot wound.

[0;51] "The only thing that works for me", meaning his drugs.

[0;57] Which is where Wilson then comes in: House using Wilson to get away from himself, using sex as a distraction.

[1;00 - 1;01] The way he looks up at Wilson, giving the idea of him about to tell Wilson he wants to fuck him.

[1;02 - 1;22] I wanted to create the idea of intense sex, with rapid close ups of their eyes and lips, and House thinking about all the times they've had sex while masturbating. The way the focus on their eyes becomes closer and closer, while House's face grows more orgasmic, gives the idea of reaching orgasm.

[1;23] Lol. Afterglow of orgasm.

[1;26] House continues to think about Wilson after he's masturbated/had sex with him.

[1;34] I really like this bit, too. The different angles of House as he sits on the stairs to emphasise his isolation.

[1;40] "You can have the hate that it brings". Sometimes House doesn't just use Wilson for sex - he uses him physically to take his anger out on, too. This is another bit I really like, the fast cuts between House and Wilson as they fight and House puches him.

[1;45] "You can have my absence of faith". This montage here is of all the things that have happened to House in his life that give him reason not to have faith in pretty much anything.

[1;50] "You can have my everything" - I emphasised House's 'I love you' here, wanting to give the idea that sometimes he makes out he and Wilson are something more than just destructive fuck buddies. Whether he means it is ambiguous.

[2;02] "It's you sex I can smell" - another montage of fast cuts to give their eye contact intensity.

[2;07] The cuts between House in utter despair and House and Wilson laughing together. "You make me perfect" in conjunction with these parrallels gives the idea that Wilson draws House away from himself.

[2;12] "Help me become somebody else" - again, parrallels between House in pain and despair and House running. The running is supposed to be metaphorical of him being somebody else, as the lyrics say.

[3;05 - 3;14] This is basically a summary, a culmimation of what their relationship is - lots of angst, lots of drugs, lots of sex, lots of pain. And it's all very intense, which is what I aimed for by cutting these scenes fast.

[3;15] This scene gives the idea of uncertainty, of no closure. Basically, the cycle just continues and continues, no matter what.

[3;25] The final scene: no matter how much Wilson may sometimes hate what House does to him, he's always there and is just as stuck in the destructive cycle as House is.

I already prattled on enough about my love for this, but I'll say it again: really, really love this. It kicks my fangirlism into overdrive. And not necessarily because of House/Wilson (um, yay them? lol) but because of how it's put together. There's such a deraged slyness to the way you cut it. I love how gritty and intense the song is a lot like their relationship. The quick cuts and the extreme closeups worked really well. It was sort of compelling and painful at the same time to watch. I guess I want Wilson to keep completing the cycle and keep suffering. He suffers so beautifully. :)

Holy shit, that's awesome. Every time you make a new video, I think, "This one's my favorite." Then "No, wait, this one's my favorite." And damn you for not letting me forget the awesome, fucked-up relationship between those two. Jesus. I think I just need a giant orgy between House and everybody, then I'll be happy. LOL

But seriously, this was just awesome. (I keep using "awesome" but there's no other word right now. I'm in awe.) Green always causes unease. In movies, photos, theatre, everything. Good choice there. The intensity really shows through, with the fast cuts, and the fact that even when you use the same flash of footage, it's cropped differently, so the viewer can never really get a good handle on it, heightening that sense of unease and intensity. Also loved the upside down shots.

I'm curious to know if this was partially inspired by that "I love you" rant you had a couple days ago. Whatever the reason, it was just fucking, yes, I'll say it again, awesome. =D I bow down to your vidding skills. Seriously.

Este el mejor video que he visto, es intenso, tan jodidamente intenso. La letra es perfecta, el montaje es muyyyyyyyyyyy bueno. Un gran trabajo, con las ideas que quieres trasmitir muy claras.
